This is officially my comfort game, I come to this game everytime I don't know what to play and it never fails to keep me entertained. Keep up the good work!

Bug: Destroy says “remove up to 3 cards from your deck”, but it only allows removing 2.

What do rerolls do?

if you click a card and then click reroll, it changes it to a different random card

Master deck run with some very decent luck.

I think removing the eight and the 3 sevens from the deck and getting cursed upgrades on fives and sixes to increase the max hand value by 1 would make the deck even more OP :D

Really cool game.

With the new decks, now I can upgrade cards that are not in my deck and cards higher then 6 I cant upgrade. (Masters deck doesnt have 1 or 2) In the cursed card upgrade the higher cards are there but again the low cards i dont have... and all the cards are shown in weird order on that screen.

Also noticed on Master deck run: Tile says Destroy up to 3 cards but I am only allowed to destroy 2 cards.

Blackjack is my favorite card game next to Texas Hold em, thanks to Fallout New Vegas and RDR.

I want to ask, is it possible for this game to have a mobile version?

The game plays very well and I'd appreciate playing on the move.

now make it infinite 10/10

Lost to the mimic after busting with my starting hand 3 times in a row.

10/10 would gamble again

ps: does the foil deck do anything special?

Nothing reaaaally special, just shiny, with an Ace, and no maluses.

It is an improved version of the starter deck and that's the strongest one... so, I'd say probably it is the best deck in the game

Amazing game, would love a mobile build to play on the go.
The tentacle boss was so unbalanced lol, felt unfair that it would draw a card if it had less than 9 but the drawn card would always be just enough to not exceed max but be higher than or draw my cards

This animations are so tuff bro

oh my D:

man you are not kidding when you said you buffed the beheaded knight. I draw 8 bleed cards in a single round with more still in my deck. I've been avoiding that mob like a plague

this game is so annoying :sob:

annoying or annoying?

Can you find this meme where there is a woman looking kinda disgusted in the first panel and then in the second one being like... – @meme-templates on Tumblr

by annoying I mean the 80 curse cards the tentacle dude has in their back pocket

Yes, the tentacle needs some work.
Thank you for the feedback!

no problem, I have respect for indie devs as a whole :3

Hey Sol! That's very cool game!

Is any reason that you done 3 versions of game with separate pages? I thinking about do the same for some of the my games, but just can't image why do I need that instead of just update one game.

(+1)

Hey!

The reason for multiple pages is webgl builds: you can only have one webgl build per page
So, i keep the stable version in the "main page", and create other pages for secondary and archive versions.

Concretely; this was the jam page, but as I updated the game I still used this page (so players got notified).
Then, the jam version was lost, so I created a dedicated page for to archive the jam version.
Then, I wanted people to beta-test the game, so i created an unlisted page for it.

Web is very important on itch:
* webgl builds increase the play-ratio: It is hard to get people to play your game (30-50% of the people dont even press play on the webgl build). Additionally, downloadable versions are more work (as you need multiplatform builds), and can be scary for players, as apps are not signed by default (and you get a warning)
* webgl ensure that people play the latest version of your game: If you want feedback on an ongoing project, this is very useful.

I am not sure it is the best solution, but it is the one I found.
I hope this helps.

(+2)

Wow, thank you for the reply with such details!

Sure, I'll take notes from that.

Because currenly I'm thinking should I create new page for one of the game from game jams and do everything from scratch ,just keepig the idea. Or maybe do all the updates to the original page, but keep legacy build(exe) as option if someone would like to play it.

(1 edit) (+1)

Glad to help.

If it is an exe, you can keep it in the same page, that's even better. At least initially.

There's a sweet spot of complexity of a page.
Ideally people only find relevant stuff, better to progressively move old information out of the page.

Clean up old staff it's also interesting suggestion.. No one needs old not relevant info, people most likely came to play the game, not digging the artifacts.

(1 edit) (+1)

All that said, I would strongly recommend you do webgl builds, whenever possible.
Sometimes it is even worth sacrificing features, just to get people playing your game.

Yeah, sure. Agree on wbgl builds. I do Godot as well, so no problems there.

Sacrificing features is interesting btw... I mean in the way, for example if there some hard staff to process or draw, maybe it worth to cut it on web builds but remain for os builds.

It helps thinking about quality settings.
Webgl is your low specs target: If it runs in webgl, it runs everywhere.

The simple yet stylish art, together with the flawlessly executed animations, showcases true mastery.

The cards drawn are transparent with this update :(

Sad to hear that. Are you on Mac?
We have a serious problem with godot+mac+webgl...

Beat it first try , "the blood" was a lot harder than the final boss , feels like lots of enemies kinda struggle with how hard to make it and such , besides "the blood" everything else was a breeze in the park.

SHE SA I COME FROM A LAND DOWN UNDAAAAAAAAAA YEA EH WOMMEN GO AND MEN PLUNDAAAA

good game but i beat it on my first run

I love this game too much

esta chido

Awesome game! I totally loved it! The art style is wonderful and reminds me of Escape the Dark Castle. I think you have made a really great game! Awesome job!

Finally beat the boss! Really enjoying the update. Design of the new miniboss goes hard and I like his mechanic.

This is the quality of game I aspire to make, well-done. :)

wonderful game!

i really enjoyed playing this game, i find its art direction to be very intresting and appealing reminding me of old DND manuels. as for the gameplay, while pretty simple i can see that it can grow in a lot of ways i find it to be a very forgiving game with 3 retries per enemy.

i would love to see a more intense game mode with things like health not replenishing each fight or curses doing more than just make you go bust. although i could definetly see how that would interfere with the overall game loop.

overall its a fun and simple game that has a element of risk with every draw of the deck.

very excited to see where this game develops.

I LOVED this one and I am trying to convince people I know to play it. Definitely there's a high luck component, (I either flatten my enemies outright or have to earn it) but I did feel like my tactics mattered enough that I wasn't just pulling a slot machine lever.

Music was especially good, and I liked the lore for the various enemies, very cute stuff.

A downloadable version of this would be nice, as others have said, and I'd love if it was longer, too.

Thank you for making it!

no download?

I don't even know how to play blackjack. 10/10 game

(+1)

This was really fun! I had to retry the boss twice to win but I ended up getting it first run!!! I do have to say it probably massively comes down to rng cause I felt like I wasn't strategising so much as just trying to get the combo number higher and deck fixing out all high cards lmao.

I'm pretty sure this is a glitch but I can't see any of the numbers or descriptions of cards? I can only see it when I hover over them but I don't think that's intended.

(1 edit)

Ok one more bug found. My max handsize was 16 because I had plus one handsize on both four and five and I drew a six making it 14 and it told me I had busted?

Edit: Ok no I'm actually just stupid I had three curse cards lmao

Hey! That's not intended :D. Are you playing on a Mac?

I am playing on mac- on a MacBook Air if that matters :)

Boss fight seemed to come down to complete RNG. Was fun up until then 6/10.

Played a ton of Slay the spire (which, I have to say, wasn't as pretty as 13 bones) back in the days and this gives me huuuuge vibes coupled with that eerie Inscryption feeling. I loved your game and can't wait for new mechanics. Do you wan't to share a bit of what is ahead?

In other hand I don't think that it is unfair, for the recod i beat it second try, but the discard mechanics should defienitly be put upfront as this is so game changer

Best of luck!!!

The game is pretty cool! I just wonder when the option of downloading (instead of solely playing in the browser) will be available!

Swag game,, 10/10

balatro vibe

that's the LSD music 100%

peak, wish this was longe

First of all. This is a great game! The art is just brilliant and UI is super punchy.

QQ though. I can't figure out how combos work? Could somaone please explain? I don't understand where the multiplier comes from

(1 edit) (+1)

Hey! thanks a lot!
We need to do a tutorial, but:
* you get +1 Combo if you perfect
* you get +1 Combo if your enemy bust
* some symbols increase your combo (notably for enemies, check the tooltip of their skills)

(+1)

Really cool game, but the last boss feels unfairly unbalanced, even if you get an amazing deck, just one wrong roll and you lose. If I play like 20 times I'll eventually beat it, but it's so relying on RNG that's not even fun or worth the grind, it's a matter of just getting lucky. Maybe the max for the boss should be 14, or get me an upgrade to get to max 14 (I don't think there is, is there?)

Other than that, great game, I wish it had more balanced content like more paths to explore, more buffs/debuffs, more enemies but with a more balanced math.

(1 edit) (+1)

Hey, thanks for the feedback!
Currently you can increase your max by playing cards with 'bone' symbol.
We are working on more content :).

(1 edit)

The only strategy that works for me is a rerolling based deck and hope to get all perfects to beat the last boss. Every upgrade I choose rerolls (if there's no reroll then I choose heal) and the strat is to stay at or below 7 and reroll for 13

Yeah after a few more tries I beat the boss. And as a reward I had to imagine the ending, lol.

I think I did it with a combination of attack, defense and heal. I tried bones but they're unreliable.

Huge fan of this game. It's extremely addicting and well made, i keep find myself opening in between work and getting lost in it.

really fun game!

Super good game, really like the unique art style, but I had a couple of issues in playing this on my Chromebook:

The right and top-most parts of my screen were cut off, not too much of a big deal, but I couldn't see some of the hints while playing :d

Second issue: My cursor in-game was offset slightly upwards than what my mouse actually was, and this made the game a bit annoying to play, especially because I could barely click the End button!

Apart from those issues, I think you've made an absolutely fun and amazing game. I think that the next step would be to add some more content, but I am aware that you're still fixing bugs and generally making the game better :D
Really good work, keep it up!
